Michael Fields
Hello and thank you for this opportunity to introduce myself.
My name is Michael Fields. I was born in a small agricultural town in Northern CA. in1965. And yes, that makes me 60. Do I look it? Probably, do I act like it and feel like it? Heck no, you’ll see.
I moved to central Oregon on New Years Eve of 1994. That certainly makes me a local by now. I got my first contractor’s license in Oregon in 1999. I later became licensed in CA. as well. I’ve built everything from equestrian facilities and airplane hangars to cell phone towers and very high-end custom homes. I’ve built from the Oregon Coast to the California Coast and from the mountains of the Southern Sierras in Mammoth California stretching through the deserts of Nevada building cell towers and then stretching out to far eastern Oregon.
It’s a very long ranging and eclectic swath of construction experience. That I believe sets me apart from so many others in the construction industry. I’ve been blessed to work with so many professionals. Whether it was a very well-known Architect building custom homes in the Napa Valley of CA., engineers from AT&T and Verizon building cell towers in the most obscure places ever [on top of The Westin Hotel/ Mammoth, CA.], or DSA inspectors and engineers doing seismic upgrades and hazardous material abatement in schools for the San Francisco School District [SFUSD]. The experience that I’ve gained in all the trials, travels, people, places, dangerous situations, different types of construction, etc.… brings a level Master Craftsmanship that is truly a dying breed.
All that being said, I couldn’t be happier being part of a team doing something fresh in the industry. When the family at Select Design & Build, a Pahlisch Company, I knew I was home. Getting to put ALL my energy and ALL my passion, along with ALL my experiences in one place is a perfect fit for me – I love bringing a home out of the ground from nothing. And the team at Select, from sales, on through CAD Design, into the hands of the field team, then closing it up with admin staff and accounting is such a tight knit group. It’s not like being passed around as a customer. It’s like being part of a family that loves each other and can’t wait to put their talents together to bring your dreams and visions to reality.
My passion and care for people is worn on my sleeve. I live and breathe for my wife and two boys of 28 and 22. Other than that, I put much of my passion [and there’s a lot], my energy [of which there’s a lot also], and drive into making people’s dream homes come out just the way expect it – and hopefully better. I hope yours is the next.
